PARTYTIME

"PRIVACY POLICY" · Effective: April 4, 2026 · Last updated: April 4, 2026

"OVERVIEW"

PartyTime ("we," "us," or "our") is a collaborative music app that lets groups build and vote on shared playlists in real time. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices regarding your data.

By using PartyTime, you agree to the collection and use of information described in this policy.

"INFORMATION WE COLLECT"

Host accounts (Spotify login): If you host a session, you authenticate through Spotify. We receive your Spotify display name, profile photo, and an access token that allows PartyTime to control playback on your behalf. We do not store your Spotify password.

Guest users (no account required): Guests join with only a display name of their choosing. We do not require email addresses, phone numbers, or any personally identifying information from guests.

Usage data: We collect basic session data including songs searched, songs added, and votes cast. This data is used to operate the live session queue and is not linked to any persistent user identity for guest users.

Device and technical data: We automatically collect standard technical information such as device type, operating system version, app version, and general geographic region (country/city level) for crash reporting and performance monitoring purposes.

"HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION"

We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your data for advertising targeting.

"SPOTIFY INTEGRATION"

PartyTime uses the Spotify Web API to search for tracks and control playback. Your use of Spotify through PartyTime is also governed by Spotify's Privacy Policy.

We request only the permissions necessary to operate the app: reading your Spotify profile, streaming status, and controlling playback on your active device. We do not access your Spotify listening history, saved tracks, or payment information.

"DATA RETENTION"

Session data (queue contents, votes) is retained for a short period after a session ends for debugging purposes and is then deleted. Host account information (Spotify token) is stored only while you are actively using the app and revoked upon sign-out.

You may request deletion of any data associated with your account at any time by contacting us at the address below.

"THIRD-PARTY SERVICES"

PartyTime uses the following third-party services to operate:

Each provider operates under their own privacy policies. We choose providers that maintain strong data protection practices.

"CHILDREN'S PRIVACY"

PartyTime is not directed at children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

"YOUR RIGHTS"

Depending on your location, you may have rights under applicable privacy law to access, correct, or delete your personal data. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the address below.

California residents: PartyTime does not sell personal information as defined under the CCPA.
